Foundation Since 1922

When Daniel van der Ent transported crates of lemonade from Rhoon to Rotterdam by horse-drawn carriage as a delivery service in 1922, he probably didn’t realize that he was laying the foundation for the many generations that would follow. The foundation for an international brand known for its vision and determination. A brand that has valued the trust of its customers for generations.

Over time, the horse-drawn carriage was replaced by a truck and later a moving van.

The routes became longer, the loads heavier, and the work area larger. In 1945, at the age of 16, Piet van der Ent began assisting his father with daily tasks. The ambition of a new generation can bring about significant change, and so it did here. Piet wanted three things: to expand, grow, and modernize. With this in mind, he propelled the organization into an unprecedented acceleration.

We Handle It

In 1983, his sons Daan and Dirk van der Ent took over the business. However, that didn’t mean Piet would sit idly by; quite the opposite. He continued to work at full throttle for many years. Father and sons, linked as business partners. And so, under the leadership of four generations, the company grew to become one of the most prominent companies in the Netherlands in Transportation, Logistics, and National & International Moving.

A 100-Year History

With great pride, we look back on the 100-year history that has brought us to this point. A family business with a history in which the new generation is given the trust and space by the generation before. A company with its sights set on the future and respect for its employees and the environment in which it operates. A company that continuously changes to meet its customers’ needs, complies with the highest international standards, and is part of the best-performing Dutch and global collaborations.
